Teacher Tep took a Bachelor of Music in Music Education, focusing on Guitar Performance and minoring in Piano Performance at the UST Conservatory of Music, studying under Professors James Peter Namit, Ruben Reyes, and Erskine Basilio.

She began playing guitar at age 12, performed with her band Overload at the St. Theresa’s College Band Festival for four years, and was active in various high school groups. After graduation, she organized events and booked artists for school activities.

Initially, Tep studied B.S. Psychology at UST, participating in the Psychology Society, College of Science Glee Club, and Talent Pool, and performed at venues like Metrobar. She also studied Voice under Prof. Florence Aguilar.

As secretary of the UST Guitar Department (2010–2012), she organized events such as the UST International Guitar Festival. Tep was also a member of USTemundo, performing Filipino and world music with ethnic instruments.

Before choosing Piano Performance as her minor, she studied Violin Performance under Prof. Yusi, starting at age 15.

With 20 years of teaching experience, Tep began teaching guitar at 15 and violin at 18. In 2012, she became an ambassador for Ukulele Manila, performing in International Ukulele Festivals. She founded Serenade Society, managing musicians for private events, and performs as a singer or singer-guitarist.

Tep plays various instruments, including violin, classical and electric guitar, bass, drums, piano, and ethnic instruments like kubing and kulintang.
